Past 55 earns nothing from purchases, sign-ups or clicks. No page on this site contains an affiliate link.

If that changes

If Past 55 ever joins an affiliate program, every affiliate link will be clearly labeled in or next to the link itself, and this page will name the type of program. The label will be written in plain English, not buried in a paragraph of small print.

What a commission will never do

• Commissions will never change a figure. Numbers come from named sources and the year they apply to, whether or not a link pays.
• Commissions will never decide coverage. If a page compares options, the comparison follows the facts, not the payout.
• A link will never be made to look like part of the editorial text without a label.

Why we are saying this now

The standard is easier to keep if it is written down before there is money involved. Our editorial policy and corrections page describe how the content itself is handled. If you ever see a link that looks unlabeled, email [email protected] and we will look at it.
